i had the most fantastic birthday weekend with my family and friends in tasmania.

my musketeers and family threw me the most amazing celebration!

totally like my dream ultimate party.

i am truly blessed to have such amazing people in my life.

and that cheese cake, oh that cheese cake... it was INCREDIBLE!

a little over a year ago, two of my gorgeous friends got married.

the smilebooth at their reception has produced some serious, fall-of-you-chair-laughing moments.

a charlie and lola birthday party is my favourite and my best

a little celebration for leena's birthday that i helped create.

ultimate party

so my "big" birthday is coming up in a month and a half or something crazy like that!

my dream is to have a great bash.

but between job finding and little projects and adjusting to my new life again and limited funds, i'm not sure i can make it happen.

but here is my dream party ideas anyway // hay bale seats // delicious food // a thousand pink balloons // lots of dancing // cheese cake // party lighting.

surprise

an invitation for my sister christine's surprise dinner party.

the story:

brother in law ed emailed me a few weeks ago to ask me to design it for him.

then continued in the email that he'll fly me over to tasmania for the weekend as his present to my sister who misses me lots (for some reason).

plus that way i could distract her all saturday so he could set up for the party.

it was a real whirlwind.

a weekend full of surprises for sure.

and still feels like more of a present for me though.

oh baby…

i hosted a baby shower this weekend for my darling friend lisa (aka the most perfect looking pregnant girl).

she missed out on the baby shower event for her first with a bit of bad timing.

we had a wonderful afternoon of chatting, eating scrumptious food, sipping cold drinks (+ a little sparkling) and giving gifts.

i have to admit, i can't take any credit for the food – thanks to all the girls for bringing along a plate of deliciousness.

sj's 'indecisive' cupcakes are the cutest!

i created a simple bunting with the themed design printed onto card, cut into triangles and sewed together with bakers twine and an embroidery needle.

plus i made a fun questionnaire for the everyone to predict baby facts for lisa to keep.

the only thing missing was red and white paper straws that i ordered weeks ago, but still haven't turned up.

they would have matched SO well.

happy australia day

...for yesterday.

BIG breakfast(s), aussie themed dress, friends, triple j, lazing in the pool*.

good times.

*and of course the boys found an old shopping trolley down the street and used it as a device to launch themselves into the water at rapid speeds.

it's tragic

mel and i (finally) decided on a date to have a house warming.

YAY.

i've always wanted to have my own housewarming...

wait for it...

because...

i wanted to use one of my 3am ideas (this one dates back about 2 years),

of having a graphic of a little house with a flame on it.

sad but true.

hmmm, now i have to do things like cater for it etc.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkk.

we all know how much i hate the kitchen.

at least i have mel.
