my diy: ottomans

my verge collection score last year FINALLY got a revamp.
i picked these stools up in perfect condition and with about $15 of bright fabric and some left over white paint they now look fantastic.
cheap and chic at its best.

are you sunburnt?

happy belated australia day.
i had a wonderful day with bbq breakfast at the beach, lots of swimming, and to top the night off, sitting on the roof watching the fireworks and a lightning storm.

with this amazingly hot (40°C+) weather we have been having in perth, some of us (not me thankfully) have been getting a little too much sun.
how cute and informative is this sweet illustration.
so here's a little help my sunburnt friends.

real living mag: diy gifts

i do love the australian real living magazine.
and getting my mum a subscription for her birthday means i get to enjoy it every month lately.
(usually while enjoying cup of green tea on her couch).
the december issue is fantastic and has adorable diy gifts.
i'm inspired!

DIY inspiration 2

some inspiration if you're planning on an arty long weekend.
i'm planning a break from all things design, art and creativity for a few days.
(but no doubt it'll get the better of me.)
happy looooong weekend!

DIY inspiration

DIY ideas (i've collected something else) that i wish i had the time/talent/resources for.

i thought i'd share the inspiration, seeing i'll only get around to possibly one or two projects.

1. vintage photos in glass bottles and jars

2. flower magnets

3. arty zip lock bags

4. happy pills

(an actual candy store in barcelona – check it out here)

5. diy notebook lunchbag

6. newspaper gift bags
