my new pad

mel (my housemate) and I have a new 'house'!

it's a 2 bedroom duplex in bateman.

we love.

funky 60's bathroom & sunroom out the back.

the living area, only very chucked together at the moment.

still need more furniture and decorations etc.

stay posted for the final 'product' in a few weeks.

i heart my new room.

cousin daniel (blonde daniel) made mel and i same SWEEEEET wardrobes.

i even have drawers for my shoes!

LOVE!

need to purchase a bed base, but the floor is fine for now.

saves a lot of injuries with not being far to fall.

still in the habit of falling out of bed at 27.

logo, invite, booklet, menu, ticket etc.

going japanese

friday night dinner last week was a FANTASTIC dinner at matsuri

– a japanese restaurant in perth.

the BEST tempura vegetables.

mel, sam, chaz, me and a whole lot of laughs.

what a laugh!

i spent the majority of my sunday evening trying to not fall of my chair with laughter.

VERY excited about board games at the best of times, but this one has just topped it.

called things... humor in a box – and it really is!

played with the usual sunday night crew of the groenewold brothers/partners/me the tag along.

the basic concept is you get a topic like:


THINGS... you can never find.


THINGS... dogs are actually saying when they bark.


THINGS... you shouldn't tie to the roof of your car.

each player writes down whatever comes to mind.

you read them out loud and then guess who said what.

it's a hoot.

cuppa for kids

sometimes in my job as a graphic designer I get to do really GREAT projects.

ones that feel really rewarding.

like this one here.

it has to be one of the favorites out of all the logos i've ever designed.

HeartKids is an organisation to offer support, encouragement and hope to families of children with heart disease, while raising awareness and vital funding into the causes of this chronic disease.

the logo (designed for free of course) is for a fundraising event called cuppa for kids.

the aim of this initiative is for poeple to host a morning tea to support HeartKids in its work to address the needs of congenital heart disease.
