witchery kids is just too cool

ok.
don't take this the wrong way anyone...
but if i had kids, this is what they'd be wearing.
absolutely chic and 100% adorable.
i'm the biggest fan of witchery as it is, now even more so.
might have to do some online shopping for my little people.
(nieces and nephews that is.)

happy blogiversary to me

365 days, 190 posts and over 7000 visitors ago i started my humble little blog.
it's been a fun little journey so far.
my blog is (or has turned into) a mixed bag of what I'm doing or designing, what i love or what i am inspired by.
and generated a LOT more interest then I ever thought it would!
i'd love to know what YOU enjoy about 'dear musketeer', dear reader.
so please don't be shy and leave me a comment.
happy blogging year ahead.

eggs eggs eggs eggs eggs eggs

i've been to spoilt with super fresh, free range, gorgeous fluorescent yellow, divinely delicious eggs in tassie.
having your own chooks (therefore ones own egg supply) is all the rage.
even among the suburbanites like sylv and mum.
christine takes the prize though.
she has 9 perfectly tame hens that lay eggs of all sizes.
(though the photo might suggest i'm not convinced of the tameness – thank goodness for ed's protective foot gear)
also she made me the best scrambled eggs for (2nd serving) lunch.
just like oma used to make – with a sprinkling of fresh parsley.
sigh.
now i'm back to the store bought, pale, overpriced kind.

designer walls

while i'm kind of on the subject of walls...
GREAT wall stickers by french designer fabian barrel

art inspiration

how stunning is this aboriginal art!
makes my fingers itchy to get into the paint again.
then by the time i get home after a long day of work i wonder 'can i really be bothered with the mess?'
new action plan: print out inspiration + take home = stay inspired.
not that I haven't been unto anything creative...
recent projects include dyeing op-shop finds, knitting (believe it or not, but i can blame my sister for that) and giving my bedroom a facelift.

a real breath of real fresh air

i have a slight addiction to mountains since leaving tasmania and moving to the flat flat land of wa.
so during my recent trip back, bunks and i went for a little drive up mount barrow to enjoy the snow.
it's so refreshing and so so beautiful up there.
(a bit of a change from our beach walks!)

the country sister

tucked away in the rolling plains just outside of launceston lives a happy little country mouse – my sister christine (+ edward and the 'kidlets').
her place (palace) is just amazing!
there is something picturesque around every corner.
visiting was like stepping into another world.
makes me want to pack up my 'city life' and career and move out to the country with them.

oh hello

i'm back.
in the 'real' world.
(with my gold shoes in tow)
i have just been on a little catch up surprise trip to 'my people' in tasmania.
enjoyed a thousand hugs, wood fires, lazing on couches, fresh eggs, gumboot romping, snow, blue lunches, warm baths, good wine, endless chatter and sleep ins.

much more to share soon!
