i'm going... to europe!

so goodbye for now lovelies.

i fly out in two days for five (and a bit) weeks of travel.

in to amsterdam and out of rome, and who knows where in between.

my little blog may be a bit silent for this time.

but i'll be full of stories, pictures and inspiration when i return.

i'm so excited!

latest addition to my living room... made by mum.

i have a slight obsession with teapots.

so i thought my little collection deserved a post all of their own.

my favourite is the first little orange teapot from my darling friend sj (found it at a garage sale years ago).

11. watch breakfast in tiffany's [done]

i watched the gorgeous visual feast that is breakfast at tiffany's.

it's glamorous and humorous and got me hooked on audrey hepburn movies now.

23. buy a pair of real ugg boots come winter time [done]

so i finally got some ugg boots.

the 'proper' kind.

not red – you have to order them.

but black'll do.

so warm and comfortable.

my feet are very happy.

26. visit the planetarium [done]

and finally, I took (dragged) jamie along with me to the planetarium yesterday.

i was so excited, possibly to the point of embarrassing for my poor little brother.

it brings back all the magic and amazement i felt as a kid.

who wants to go with me again?

i'm having fun being creative with my blackboard again.

my current favourites:

1 // blueberry banana breakfast smoothie.

made with about half a cup of frozen blueberries, half a frozen banana, 1/4 cup oats, spoon of chia seeds, couple of spoons of greek yoghurt, splash of water and a bit of honey.

2 // chilled, chilled, chilled water with lemon.

so refreshing!

3 // gin and tonic.

with only the best… hendrick's of course.

plus a sliver of cucumber floating on the top.

4 // gorgeous geisha tea from t2.

a beautiful green tea blend with a touch of strawberry.

my mummy is such a clever lady

as you could probably figure out, my mum is over for a visit.

(+ my little brother).

she was showing me her latest craft project photos and i just had to share these two…

a beautiful handmade baby blanket.

made out of old woollen knits from the op shop.

and a bright red hand knitted cushion cover.

now she's knitting me one!

i'll admit i'm knitting too now – just a simple scarf.

i hope it turns out to be a scarf, rather than a scrap of messy wool.
